On Sunday afternoon the Holy Spirit presented me with an opportunity to abandon myself to His will. By His strength, I was able to say yes and was blessed with a moment of divine clarity to guide my next step. I was also able to spend quality time with good friends, enjoyed strong runs in God’s nature, and had a very productive work week.
While any number of those moments could have inspired this week’s blog, I decided to press pause and give praise to God for who He is and for His powerful Word. I would be lost and void of all hope if not for His promises in the Bible that strengthen my faith. His Words have transformed me and empowered me to live a supernatural life! And for that, I give Him praise:
· He rescued me from religion and unleashed me into a life of wild and undomesticated faith.
Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
· He romanced me across His beautiful country through His mysterious ways!
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”
· He coordinated hundreds of divine appointments to speak truth and hope and life to those He loves.
Luke 10:2-3 “(Jesus) told them, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.”
· He filled me with His supernatural peace.
Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
· He strengthened me in times of suffering and doubt.
Philippians 4:11, 13 “…for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances…I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.
· He was always faithful and never let me go.
Matthew 28:20 “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
· He speaks to me, and I hear Him!
Jeremiah 29:12-14 “'Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,' declares the LORD.”
I’ve learned to know Him as my Father and friend; provider and protector; Savior and King. He’s cared for and comforted me through seasons of sadness, but praise God! He has more plans and purposes for me just over the horizon!
I love him! With all my wild heart, my freed mind, and my strengthened body. He is everything to me, and today I just wanted to give Him praise.
