“…that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being. “
I was thinking the other day how faith is the opposite of fact. When we live needing all the facts to make decisions, we lose the opportunity to live by faith.
Facts can mean calculating our retirement accounts over giving generously as the Holy Spirit leads. It can mean deciding where you will live the next five years over trusting God to open a door, or planning where you will spend your next vacation over giving the Holy Spirit room to guide you.
So how can we live this way? By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians was “…that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith." (Ephesians 3:16-17)
Would you like to start walking by faith? I encourage you to seek the filling of the Holy Spirit, more and more each day. It is only through the power of His Spirit in our inner beings that we can live by faith.
